　　《MyLove》是英国歌手PetulaClark的代表歌曲。

　　PetulaClark：佩屈拉克拉克，1932年十一月出生于伦敦的近郊，父母都是在医院从事看护的专业人员，不过都有著歌唱的天赋，她的父亲还曾经做过明星梦。承袭自父母的天生美好歌喉，使得她从三岁起就开始跟母亲一起在教堂里歌唱。

　　发现女儿歌唱才华的父亲，决心扶植她来实现自己未能达成的美梦，於是在她九岁那年，透过关系，安排小佩屈拉去参加BBC的一个现场广播节目。当时正是大战期间，在排练的时候，忽然响起了空袭警报，观众立刻一阵慌乱。节目的制作人赶快问现场有没有人愿意上台歌唱，来安抚观众。佩屈拉自告奋勇的登台，果然成功的让大众安定下来。就这样，她成了节目的常客。

　　1964年，在先后有许多支单曲轰动法国之后，她的唱片制作人汤尼海奇（TonyHatch）带著一堆自己写的歌曲来找她，并且建议她，应该可以再度尝试用英语来灌录唱片了。佩屈拉克拉克回答说，她愿意回到英国发展，但前提是必须要先找到合适的歌曲。

　　在她跑到厨房去泡茶来招待客人的时候，汤尼海奇随手在钢琴上弹奏了一段自己刚刚谱出来的旋律，她在厨房里听到了，立刻冲出来，问汤尼那是什么歌曲。汤尼表示，那首歌叫做「Downtown」，但是还没有歌词。佩屈拉说，那首歌曲很棒，假如汤尼可以写出相配的歌词，她愿意灌录，并且藉以回到英国歌坛。
